After hiking on the PCT for 2 miles, we leave the maintained trail and come out of the trees on the south ridge of Silver Peak... still 800 feet of elevation left to the summit.

As we hike up Silver's south ridge Mt. Rainier appears in the distance... Abiel Peak is on the right.

To complete our loop hike larman starts down the northwest ridge of Silver Peak.
